Called Better Living when my washer dryer stopped working and the whole experience was better than I expected. Zack and Dmitri handled the job, showed up on time, and had it diagnosed within minutes. They explained what went wrong in plain terms and didn’t try to push me toward anything I didn’t need. And now it's good as new The repair itself was quick and clean, and the price came in right where they quoted. What stood out was how straight they were with me the entire time. When my LG washer one day suddenly started to have some issues, that I wanted a service technician to have a look. When searching online for a service provider, I chose Better Care Appliance Repair for the following reasons: Their commitment to quality workmanship, customer satisfaction and mostly for past customers positive feedback. Service technician Zach was prompt, courteous, professional and very knowledgeable in helping to diagnose the problem in a short period of time.  Zach also provided multiple options and information to fix the issue. I was very impressed and would highly recommend Better Care Appliance Repair. Extremely poor experience with this company. Our original service call was scheduled for 1-3pm on a Saturday. I was called in the morning and informed our service would be pushed to 2-4pm, however after 4pm the technician had still not shown up. I tried calling the company twice only to be met with a voicemail saying they were closed. Even though the Google listing claims 24h availability, and their website claims 8AM-8PM hours, I was later informed by the company that their weekend hours are in fact 9am-3pm. We received no communication about the delayed service or closing hours from the company until emailing them. I've asked them to update their hours online, but at the time of review it has not been changed. I was also told that in order to have the repair covered under warranty, we needed to order the parts through them. I compared the price of my parts from the Blomberg site directly (~$45 including shipping), and Better Care quoted me a total of $96 including shipping. While I understand that some mark-up is to be expected, more than double is unreasonable; furthermore, after waiting a week for the part to be shipped and the technician to come do the repair, he informed me that they had failed to order a second part and would need to place a second order. I was given another quote for the second part for $69 with shipping, running the total up to $165 for parts alone. The customer service team offered a $30 discount "in good faith", only for a follow-up email later from their service manager (Don Meir) threatening that this was "contingent on no bad reviews being posted". Ultimately after dealing with two weeks of poor customer service, threats, and misinformation, we chose not to continue with Better Care to complete our repair. I will say that the technician Stan was extremely kind and polite, but the same cannot be said of their customer service team and service manager Don. I would never recommend this company to anyone, if you need appliance repairs run the other direction.
